It seems to matter what which get to do first: if I read the book first I will prefer the book to the film and vice versa. The English Patient was my exception. |

Now, for something specular... how about the novelization of movies not made from a book ? Have you ever read them ? The only one i remember is L'armata Brancaleone: it's an italian movie (and book) and i don't know how much it is known around the world (look for it if you'd like something funny to watch). O liked bith the film and the book, but its nature as a "former" screenplay was quite obvious.
An adaptation i loved was the 1976 tv miniseries Sandokan from the Emilio Salgari series of novels... i remember that in late '70 and early '80 i've read and reread several times that saga and every time the series was/is aired i watched/watch it. |
